I started this blog to document my progress as I acquire, repair, restore and maintain analog audio recording equipment. There is a lot of information on the Web related to analog recording equipment from the 1970s and 1980s, but there is also a frustratingly large amount of information that’s either missing or incomplete. I hope that by detailing my experiences, I can give back to the enthusiast community and help to preserve the art and science of analog audio recording.

My passion was helped along by a few individuals and by a small and enthusiastic group of amateur technicians. I specifically want to thank everyone in the Analog Only forum at HomeRecording.com for getting me started, and for giving tons of valuable technical information.
